New OZ Mama

Thanks for stopping in. Chances are, you already know me. If not, welcome to my site! I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. I married my high school sweetheart, and we are currently a family of five; two huge dogs, and our baby boy. We currently live in our hometown and in the suburbs of Chicago (see the first blog post for the deets).

I have 5 years of experience managing therapy teams of kiddos younger than 5. I loved every minute of my job. I had the opportunity to train families and staff how to reach developmental milestones through natural play-based activities. It was the best job, however, due to some unexpected change (again, see first blog post for details), I am now a stay-at-home mama. While I love being a mama, I needed to find a way to channel my passion of helping and educating families.

As you explore the website, you will notice that I will write and share a mixture of items for all mamas and for mama's with kiddos with special needs (AKA superheroes). These mamas are so inspirational, as many of them have navigated and conquered the special needs world all on their own. Their determination and love inspired me to create this website. I hope this website can help all mamas navigate the beautiful process of child development, in addition to providing them with the guidance needed to receive the support needed if a hiccup occurs, and their baby needs a little extra support. God knows there is DIRE need for more guidance in our area
